On Saturday (October 11), the men’s 1st Xi welcomed St Albans 1st XI to ‘The Kingsway’ in their Midlands Men’s Conference league match of the season, only to go down to a single goal losing to their visitors 0-1. St Albans started the match the better side with some neat interchanging play, and opened the scoring after nine minutes with a quick counter-attacking move.
