4 injured in chain-reaction crash in Washington Park

Four people were injured in a three-vehicle chain-reaction crash late Thursday in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side. Just before midnight, a gray car was going north in the 6200 block of South King Drive when it rear-ended a blue SUV in the intersection, causing the SUV to hit a red Jeep, Chicago police said. A man and woman in the sedan were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where they were in serious condition, police said.
